Did you know that South Tyrol is Italy’s wine hotspot with the highest number of quality-certified wines? Our wine list offers an outstanding selection: exquisite wines from South Tyrol as well as premium Italian wines from the country’s finest wineries.
Be sure to try our house wine—a high-quality Glanzhof original, proudly produced in-house.
Merano and the surrounding Burggrafenamt district boast a wine-growing region with a truly unique character.
The towering peaks of the Ötztal Alps, along with regular rainfall, create a mild and stable climate in which vines thrive beautifully.
The dry southern wind brings distinct Mediterranean influences and ensures ideal ventilation throughout the Meran valley basin.
The sharp temperature fluctuations between day and night, the loamy sandy soils on the valley floor, and the porous gravel soils on the slopes all contribute to superior grape quality and an impressive spectrum of aromas.
The result: elegant, balanced wines—which have earned „Burggrafenamt” and Merano international recognition in the global wine scene.
Burggrafenamt was the first South Tyrolean wine region to receive protected DOC status for its Vernatsch wine “Südtiroler Meraner.”
The Marlings vineyards toward Nörder and the hills surrounding Schickenburg Castle are especially dedicated to Vernatsch. Lighter grape varieties such as Sauvignon and Goldmuskateller are also grown in Marling.
